Once everyone was off the colossal coach we took to get to Bracklesham Bay, I and the year 6s who came, seemed quite excited to finally be here after the long journey (which I almost fell asleep on). After a moment of tripping over (my legs were still asleep), I spotted a man in a blue coat sitting on a bench holding a big box, and soon enough we were all in a line heading toward him. All of us then sat down in front of him before the man in the blue coat told us that he was Mr Bone – the person who was supposed to be teaching us more about fossils by letting us find our own.I was so excited.
After a while of telling us what we were doing, Mr Bone let us go and find the fossils. Lots of people found really big ones and a few found shark teeth! But to be honest I was more interested in finding ones that I liked to call ‘unicorn horns’. About an hour later I had loads of fossils (and lots of pretty stones too). Then we were all called in and Mr Bone was really nice and gave us a REAL shark tooth each, which were fifty MILLION years old! We all then climbed back in the coach and now I’m writing this.
To be honest I think that was one of the best trips that I’ve ever been on. It was so much fun hunting for fossils.
