Year 4 had a fantastic time on our trip to Bignor Roman Villa. The weather was great which meant we could make the most of the beautiful surroundings and outside activities. The children had a tour of the villa, learning about the mosaics, the heating system, and who might have lived there. There was also the opportunity to practise their Roman numerals, mosaic making, dressing up, and the hard work of grinding flour using the millstone (producing enough for about half a slice of bread!).
"My favourite part was dressing up as a rich Roman!"
"I enjoyed the tour and finding out all about the villa and mosaics."
Although some children were working harder than others........................
