Year 1 Great Fire of London workshop

08  Dec  2016

The Rainbow Theatre workshopped the Great Fire of London with the Year 1 children as a fabulous finish to our 'Fire' topic.

We learnt that the year before the Great Fire began in 1666, there had been a horrible plague in London and many people died.It was great that all the children took part and had a role to play in acting out the events 350 years ago.

Airida and Daisy survived the Plague!

"Bring out your dead!" called Jayden

The fire was raging down the London streets.

But it hasn't reached these streets yet.

Thomas Farryner, the baker from Pudding Lane with Michael and Mia, his bakery assistants.

Nathan, Daisy and Airida rushed to tell the Lord Mayor about the fire.

Freddie played James, King Charles' brother.

Tyler threw several buckets of water over the fire.

Nathan helped Sir Christopher Wren design the new St.Paul’s Cathedral.
