Welcome to the Nursery!
The Nursery class (Tadpoles) is part of the Infant & Junior School here at Durrington. Your child is entitled to 15 hours of FREE nursery education, and for some families this may be 30 FREE hours. We offer places for children from the term after their third birthday.
Tadpole class offers an exciting, child - centred, personal learning experience with many opportunities for real and first - hand experiences. Tadpoles is staffed by Miss Edwards (teacher), Mrs Denby (Nursery Nurse) and Mrs Williams(LSA).
We look forward to working with you all this year and in the future!

The children in nursery enjoyed maths day today. They played with number jacks and different shaped blocks, and made their very own maths hats!
This is what we have been doing in nursery this last week:
Making Sea Creature Soup........
Making lovely patterns with little pegs............
Nursery didn't want to be left out of the special assembly today to celebrate the end of the Bedtime Story Challenge.
Mrs Jones visited the children and presented certificates and books to the children in nursery today who had handed in their completed challenge sheets.
We are very proud of them and hope that all the children are enjoying bedtime stories - or teatime stories - or anytime stories!
The nursery children have been thinking about their personal history, comparing what they were like when they were babies to what they are like now.
Thank you so much everyone for sending your child in with their baby pictures, blankets, rattles, soft toys, clothes and shoes. The children have loved looking at all of their precious things.
It has been wonderful to see the “old” nursery children returning to school after the summer holidays. They seem taller and more grown - up now and they have been so helpful with the new nursery children. We have already had lots of fun together!
The nursery staff would like to say a huge thank you to our parents for the gifts and cards that we received at the end of last term. Your kindness and thoughtfulness were very much appreciated!
Here are some photos of the new nursery children enjoying their first few days at school!
