Just to say we can’t believe how quickly the first half term in school has absolutely flown by! The children are now well and truly settled into their new routines in school and have been working so hard!
They are really enjoying their new topic ‘People who help us!’ We have been discussing people in school and their roles and the children are getting really good at asking ‘relevant’ questions! We started by just deciding on what a question actually is. Now we have learned how to ask questions and they had their first practice on Mrs. Cook in the office and Mr. Jenkins who looks after all our computers and ICT work!
Both Mrs. Cook and Mr Jenkins kindly visited us in the classroom and the children learned about how much they help us in school. This week we are learning about ‘People who help us’ in the community and the Post man is on our list. We shall be learning about the ‘journey of a letter’ and the processes it has to go through after it has been posted. Next week, we plan to write our own letter home and will go and post these in our local post box! Hopefully, the letters will arrive on our doorsteps over the half term holiday!
We can’t wait for next half term, we have a visit from the Police and we have lots of questions for them! They might even let us sit in the van that they plan to bring with them!
We look forward to those of you that can make it, join us for our ‘Learning Together sessions starting straight after the half term break.
Here is some of the fun we have been having:
