10 Tiny Caterpillars

17  Jun  2019

Hello from Reception! Just to let you know, we have had 10 tiny Caterpillars arrive in the post and we are so excited. After learning about the journey of a letter in our topic last term - ‘People who help us’, and the visit from the Postman to tell us about his job, here we are in charge of our very own Caterpillars! They were so tiny and this week they have ‘doubled in size!’ We’ve been learning about doubles in school so we can see for ourselves how much they have grown. We shall be watching very carefully at what happens next, especially as we can see they have eaten nearly all the food they arrived with.

Our teachers say that next week, we will have to start collecting some leaves and flowers for them to eat and there might be some more changes ahead. We can’t wait for next week just to have a ‘sneaky peek’ inside their special house! We will keep you posted.
