Pupil Premium and Sports Premium
Pupil Premium
We strive to ensure that Durrington Infant and Junior Federated Schools is a place for everyone to succeed and thrive. Our priority is focussed on 'narrowing the gap' between disadvantaged children and non-disadvantaged children and ensuring that progress is sustained.
The pupil premium is additional funding given to schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. The total received is based on the number of students who have received Free School Meals within the last six years. Additional funding is also provided for children who are looked after and the children of Service Personnel. Our targeted and strategic use of Pupil Premium will support us in achieving our vision.
The following documents give details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding. Our strategies are reviewed termly and the reports updated each September:

We have produced a document about the possible barriers to learning faced by disadvantaged children.

Sports Premium
From April 2013 the government is providing substantial primary school sport funding. The funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
Schools will have to spend the sport funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this.
