Year 4

Goodbye Lodge Hill

10  Mar  2017

Has it really been only a week? There have been so many fantastic moments, where children have stretched themselves beyond

what they thought possible, supported others who needed it, learnt new skills, discovered new foods or found strength they didn’t realise they had.

Last night, we enjoyed our final evening crowding around a blazing fire (thanks to Miss Lyons and Mrs Burgess) having played in some night games in the shadows of the bamboo. Despite our best efforts, we still ended up with the same number of children we started with.

A huge thank you to Mr Hawkins, who gives up his time year on year to help make these trips possible in order to provide the children with experiences they will remember for the rest of their lives. Also, to Miss Evans, Mrs Burgess, Miss Lyons and Mr Blake for the night games, the mothering, the nature trails, the medical care, the encouragement, the games, and for giving up their free time to look after 61 engaging and fun-loving year 4s for what was a brilliant week.
