Wow! What a busy time we’ve had, yet again in Reception!’
We have had our Sports Day and a very successful one too! The weather was really hot but this didn’t deter us! We had practised our races and we were so excited to share these with our families. We started this in the cooler, early morning of the day. We sat in a lovely shady position beneath the trees with lots of drinks to keep us refreshed whilst we waited for our turns to race! We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did! Even our mums, dads and brothers and sisters had s chance to race too! That was really exciting! We all earned points for our houses and a everyone had a really good time. We were all winners and were so proud of our school!
Our tiny caterpillars have undergone huge changes too! They have grown from tiny little caterpillars into very large ones in such a short time! To make it even more exciting, they began the next part of their journey by hanging upside down in their special home, busy making a cocoon. Each day we have watched them change and can’t wait to see what will happen next!We even left them some strawberries at the weekend just incase! Will let you know what happens next!
We have also done lots of writing about minibeasts, practising writing sentences using capital letters and full stops!
We have been making our very own class caterpillar, our very own class cocoon and our very own butterfly! These are going to look great in the Reception classes and will explain the life-cycle of a butterfly through our very own art work. Please look out for them in our classrooms!
Looking forward to the week ahead!
