Well... the sun came out last Tuesday morning, just in time for our Sports Day! We certainly had a brilliant time and we hope you did too! Thank you to everyone who came to watch and support us!
This was our very first sports day and we have been practising really hard! Learning to run in a straight line is difficult enough, but to travel through hoops, balance beanbags on our heads and travel like a spider took a lot of concentration! As you already know, we have been learning about minibeasts in reception and our finale race demonstrated this! We walked up the field as caterpillars and flew back to the finish as Butterflies!
We really enjoyed watching our Mums, Dads and younger brothers and sisters in their races too! We were so proud to be part of our teams in Durrington Infants School and can't wait for next year to do it all again! Thank you everyone!
PS. Our caterpillars are huge now! We are watching them carefully because they are nearly ready to change into a chrysalis! We are keeping a daily log of the changes, not too long now until we can transfer them into their next, new home in our classroom. We'll keep you updated on their progress!
Some amazing balancing skills!
