Well, we have only just finished enjoying learning all about Diwali a different culture and celebration!
Now Christmas is nearly upon us! and excitement is growing. We have talked about Christmas and family customs and listened to the Christmas story. In school we are busy learning songs and are so excited about the Christmas Concert we are going to perform for you. We just know you are going to enjoy it! Our teachers are so proud of us, there are so many songs to learn and so many words! We are excited about wearing our costumes for all the different parts we play!
Just to add to the excitement we have been doing lots of Christmas activities! Who would have thought we could do Christmas maths? We can even make a repeating pattern using Christmas trees and crackers! We even did some problem solving and helped Santa to deliver presents into two chimneys! We really had to think about this, 'sharing' them equally between the two!
In the Discovery room we have been busy designing our own Christmas wrapping paper and a 'secret surprise!'
Writing lists for Christmas presents have also been high on the agenda in the Literacy room! We have learned so many letters and sounds now that we are even having a go at writing our letters all by ourselves! Outside we have been role-playing Santa on his sleigh using the bicycles and delivering gifts!
We can't wait for next week, we've got so many things to do before Christmas arrives!
Look forward to welcoming you to our Christmas Concert!
