Class R

Butterflies

20  Jul  2016

Just looking back at this last year! We can't believe how time flies! Just like the caterpillars we have been observing over the last half-term, our Reception children are ready to spread their wings and fly!

Last week we all went out into our school garden to release our butterflies. We have been watching and nurturing our caterpillars, observing their change into a chrysalis, and finally fully fledged, beautiful butterflies! The children clapped and cheered as each one flew off into the distance! How proud we all felt and marvelled at the power of nature!

Now it is time to say goodbye to our Reception children. Just like the butterflies, it's been such a pleasure to watch them emerge and succeed and to go on to pastures new. We wish them every success in the future and would like to say thank you for being part of their continuing development and for the support that you have shown to us.

Look how much we have grown since these photos were taken in October!
